Bonita Robinson joined Camden Intermediate School in 2017, following 14 years of service within the Currituck County School District. Her career began at Northeastern High School, where she taught 9 th and 11 th grade English, for two years before transitioning to Currituck County High School where she taught, mainly 9 th and 11 th grade AP English Language and Composition. Before joining CIS, as Assistant Principal and prior to being named Principal, (2019), Mrs. Robinson was accepted into the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program at East Carolina University.
Mrs. Robinson grew up in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake, Va and graduated from Deep Creek High School. She earned an undergraduate degree, with Cum Laude Honors from Elizabeth City State University. Mrs.Robinson views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. She believes partnerships with parents and community are essential to enriching the experiences at Camden Intermediate.
During her free time, Mrs. Robinson enjoys writing poetry and reading novels.
